Designer Chip Gerard William III Leave Apple After Working For 9 Years


Apple's senior director in platform architecture, Gerard William III, reportedly resigned from Apple. He has worked in the technology giant from Cupertino for around 9 years.

Reported from the Android Pit page, Tuesday (2/4/2019), Gerard has worked with Apple since the creation of the Apple A7 chip to the latest Bionic A12 chipset. Before working at Apple, Williams worked for 12 years at ARM, which was a company that made basic CPU and GPU designs for most manufacturers such as Samsung, Qualcomm, HiSilicon, MediaTek and Apple.

Not only working as an Apple engineer working on the CPU design of the chip, but he was also responsible for the overall design of the SoC which contained all the important components for the operation of the iPhone and iPad.

Unfortunately, until now it was unclear why Williams left the company, rumors said that he was accepting offer from another company.
