After many vendors claim that their products will be provided updates to Ice Cream Sandwich, it seems Acer didn’t want to miss the moments. Both tablets owned by Acer, Acer Iconia Tab A100/101 and Acer Iconia A500/501, reportedly will soon get the updates in mid-January 2012.
This news also allows for Android 4.0 updates for the other tablets range, such as the Motorola Xoom and Asus Transformer. According to the Android product manager, all the tablets that currently operated using OS Honeycomb (3.0) now supposed to be able to also run the Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). It is emphasized also if the device is capable of running a custom UI, of the latest OS will be compatible.
