Samsung has just announced its newest product line of tablet Galaxy to tabs. The announcement not only introduce two new models, but also with a broad shift to software.
In the CTIA event, Samsung officially confirmed rumors that the new version of the Galaxy Tab size of 10.1 inches is true. The company also claims that the tablet become the thinnest, lightest, but with the biggest screen in the tablet market.
In addition, Samsung also introduced the tablet of their other brands with 8.9-inch size. This means that the complete family of Galaxy Tab consisting of various sizes ranging from 7 inch, 8.9-inch, and 10.1 inches.
Samsung has a strong belief that consumers are very picky about the size of their tablets. Because not all consumers one-size-fits-all. This of course seemed sarcastic mindset to iPad, Xoom, and others.
But the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 is not only lightweight, and Galaxy Tab 8.9 is not just a new size. Both will incorporate new service called Samsung Music Hub, which is a direct challenge to iTunes.
On price, Wifi version of Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available at approximately USD499 (16GB) for USD 599 (32GB). While the WiFi version of the Galaxy Tabs 8.9 will be priced at USD469 (16GB) to USD599 (32GB), and will be released on 8 June.
