IE6 No Longer Supported By Microsoft, Google and Facebook

It has been few years Microsoft made it clear to the user's of internet browser to abandon Internet Explorer 6 (IE6). Not just simply worn out, the technology used a decade-old software is already too old so it is not secure and can be hacked easily with today’s technology.

However, until now the number of IE6 users are huge even though microsoft has released IE7, IE8, even IE9. Recent data reported by Net Applications on February 28, 2011, there were 12 percent of computers around the world are still actively accessing the internet using IE6. It is down 9 percent than last year, but still too risky.

Eliminate entirely would be difficult, but with a very small percentage microsoft expecting that companies no longer continue to support IE6 because no more people use it. During this time many companies and service providers are still reluctant to abandon support for IE6 because they feel there are still many who use it.

The site presents statistics IE6 users in different countries. The largest country that still use IE6 is China by donating 34,5 percent. Other countries whose level is still a large percentage of IE6 users are in South Korea by 24.8 percent, India 12.3 percent, Taiwan 10.7 percent, 10.7 percent of Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam 10 percent. IE6 users in Indonesia live 3.3 percent. In the U.S. alone was 2.9 percent.
