BlackBerry plans to launch their popular instant messaging services, the BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), for Android and Apple's IOS, said a source. Until now the most popular applications from BlackBerry mobile phones were only available for the BlackBerry platform.

As reported by the Telegraph, quoting a leading technology blog Boy Genius Report, the BlackBerry parent company Research In Motion is already in talks with Apple and Google so the application can be used on the three platforms.

There has been no final decision on pricing or when it's done. Boy Genius Report cites "reliable sources" for the supporting material. We also received information that the strategy is still in development and RIM maybe charge for every usage or put special tariff for accessing the service through third party platform.

This service maybe awaited by android and iphone user, to communicate with all people who use smartphone through BBM, but they may not be able to share photo, location or video. Users who want the full BlackBerry experience have to use the BlackBerry platform to get it.

BlackBerry is not prepared for questioning.

Michael Gartenberg, research director for Gartner's analysis, saying it’s hard to see RIM will benefit if it gives the BlackBerry key feature (BBM) to other user platform.
