OSLO - Nokia smartphone owners are now able to browse internet faster with the final version of Opera Mobile 10.1 for Symbian 60 phones.
Opera claims, on this Symbian version of Opera 10.1, JavaScript performance is much more tightly to deliver a faster web browsing. Even nine times faster than Opera Mobile 10.0 in SunSpider JavaScript test. Because, performance optimization compilation of just-in-time (JIT) was present for the first time in the Carakan JavaScript engine, reliable engine that also drives the Opera browser for PCs.
Opera Mobile 10.1 also "for the first time" support Geolocation, which puts the phone on a map. With Geolocation, Web services such as maps and travel applications to identify the location in order to provide relevant and customized content.
