Intel just announces their first dual core processor for which is designed especially for notebook platform. Intel Atom N550 is the first Atom dual core designed for netbook.

Along with the presence of this processor, Intel said few of their partners deliver their products which utilize Atom N550 netbook into the market straight away. One of them is Asustek with the Eee PC netbook series 1015PEM.

Design view. The ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM is similar to the Eee PC 1015PE who had already been in the market. This netbook also use matte plastic casing and keyboard with chicklet design.

Chicklet  design keyboard facilitate those who have larger fingers to avoid slip when pressing a button. Unfortunately, there are several buttons that have a small size which keep raises the risk of wrong push. Asus also provides 7.6 x 4 inches touchpad on this netbook.

Feature

There is no much difference in Eee PC 1015PEM compared to  netbooks in general. VGA port and a USB port on the left side and two on the right allows the user to connect a USB modem or an external hard drive while recharge your cell phone's battery or MP3 players. Asus also provides 0.3 megapixels camera along with the sliding "door" at the top.

This netbook also featured with Express Gate. This feature is an 'instant-on' application which is from Linux-based operating system that can be directly used in about 5 seconds after the button is pressed. If users only need to surf the internet, chatting, communicating through Skype, simply press the button on the left corner to activate this feature. if you want to switch into Windows 7 operating system, the button is on the right hand corner.

Asus Eee PC with dual core processors is recommended to you who are looking for compact portable computer, with a somewhat decent processor in terms of speed. Battery that can last up to 5 hours or more, depending on how you use the netbook.
