Motorola showcased the next generation of Xoom tablet for the first time. Motorola Droid Xyboard. These tablets are available in two screen size options, 8.2 inches and 10.1 inches.
About the price, it seems Motorola wanted to really compete with the Kindle Fire which is is certain to be undermined existing tablet market. Companies that its mobile division has purchased by Google priced version 8.2 inches at U.S. $ 430 and $ 530 for larger size.
Xyboard Droid presents three choices of memory capacity, which is 16 and 32 gigabytes for 8.2 inches version, and more than 64 gigabytes for a 10.1-inch version. Unfortunately, Droid Xyboard still running with Android Honeycomb operating system, not the Ice Cream Sandwich which is the latest Android OS.
In terms of design, the tablet is much different from the Motorola Xoom. Xyboard Droid has a longer shape and curvature or pieces on each side which is very striking. On the back, Motorola showed the six screws that lock a gray cover.
Below the hood Motorola planted dual-core processor 1.2 GHz and 1 gigabyte RAM. Xyboard droid is also equipped with a 5 and a 1.3 megapixel camera, each facing the back and front.
