South Korean government claims to have successfully developed the fourth generation mobile telecommunications system (4G), 40 times faster than current wireless networks, 3G.
4G technology-based Long Term Evolution (LTE)-Advanced, claimed as the first super speed technology in the world.
South Korea's Ministry of Economy stated that Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), has successfully tested 4G LTE-Advanced with amazing results.
Now users can download data at speeds up to 600 Mbps, even the ETRI successfully downloading a file size of 700 MB movie in just 9.3 seconds only.
In experiments performed in Daejeon, a researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) shows the flow of seamless video on LTE-advanced systems in a moving vehicle.
To support the infrastructure for the establishment of this 4G technology, the South Korean government will also inject a total of 193.5 billion Won in 2014, to create such a cluster of global mobile phone in Gumi, North Gyeongsang province Daegu, as the place testing and accreditation of new and sophisticated technology.
