Download Playbook OS 2.0 Beta To Run Android Apps

Research In Motion (RIM) has just released the BlackBerry Playbook OS 2.0 beta. This operating system (OS) has a new feature that makes it able to run Android applications.

RIM BlackBerry released Runtime for Android Apps which is a new package that makes software designed for Google's Mobile OS can be executed on a QNX-based tablet as quoted by Thinq.

But all things related to Google Maps, billing services, text to voice engine, or cloud to device messaging system could not work. Even so, Playbook fans has conducted trials with the BlackBerry Packager for Android.

Through this patch, Android applications can be made to be run on new Playbook OS. Applications which not run, among others are Google Books, Google Docs, and Gmail.  Still, it is becoming an amazing thing from RIM to make the tablet becomes more tempting.
