Option 1 (Register HRT)
- Go to Options
- Choose Advance Options
- Choose Host Routing Table
- Choose the bold text
- Push BB Button
- Choose Register Now
- You will see message, "Your handheld registered with the wireless network"
- Restart your Blackberry.
- Check your BBM avatar.
If option 1 doesn't work. Try Option 2 below.
Option 2 (Re-Invite Contact)
- Open your Blackberry Messenger (BBM)
- Backup your contacts pin (only the avatar doesn't show).
- Delete all contacts that you've backup previously.
- Re-invite them.
Still having problems?
Option 3 (Reinstall BBM)
- Go to BBM
- Push BB button
- Choose Options
- Choose Backup Now
- Choose Backup files locally (remember where you save it)
- Close BBM
- Go to Blackberry Options
- Choose Applications
- Change Third Party to Add-on
- Choose BlackBerry Messenger
- Choose Delete
- Restart your Blackberry
- Go to Blackberry App World
- Look for BlackBerry Messenger
- Install it..
- Restart BB
- Go to BlackBerry Messenger
- Push BB button
- Choose Options
- Choose Restore
- Choose Restore using a backup file from device (pick the backup file)
Either option 1, 2, or 3 should troubleshoot your blackberry avatar's problems.
