Egypt Government Block Twitter And Facebook

Internet traffic monitoring site, Herdict, reported that there are at least two reports related to Twitter and Facebook could not be accessed in Egypt.

But until now Herdict not get further confirmation from the complainant to notify the condition there.

After the circulation of rumors in cyberspace that there will be massive demonstrations to topple President Hosni Mubarak.

Reportedly, there are about tens of thousands of demonstrators has sent a protest against the leadership of President Hosni Mubarak, who has served as president of Egypt for 30 years.

Egypt government reacted by closing access to both sites because of suspected protesters has coordinated through the microblogging and social networking sites.

Twitter itself has confirmed the truth of this story that the Egyptian government has blocked access to Twitter, but some twitter users in Egypt choose to use the proxy server as a third-party applications in order to remain able to send their tweets to Twitter.
