Microsoft Kinect Advanced Motion Detection Game Console

483425-720-480Microsoft finally launched their motion detection game console, Kinect, all over the world, after a week ago was launched in the United States and immediately received rave reviews in the U.S. gamers.

This launch means that Microsoft is joining a great rivalry with Nintendo and Sony in offering their customers a movement-based gaming system.

But with the add-on for the Xbox 360 [on Amazon] console, Microsoft is running better than their competitors, as it allows gamers to control the action just by their body movements, without the needed an additional for each controller.

Kinect had been sold out, even before the device went on sale in the U.S. last week, so that the retailers in Europe expect that the kinect will be one of the most searched item on the list of holidays.

This device uses advanced motion capture system consisting of three cameras, multiple sensors and several proprietary algorithms.

Kinect also equipped with advanced voice recognition system, which can recognize the commands from the various locations although background noise is loud.

Microsoft has activated Kinect with 17 games at launch, with the addition of five more are scheduled to be released before the end of this year.

Analysts expect this device will help Microsoft attract more casual gamers to the Xbox 360 platform in their competition with Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation.
